Secondary School

At the Middle School level (Lower Secondary) of the Heydar Aliyev Modern Educational Complex (MTK), students aged 11–14 are provided with high-quality education and a supportive environment for both academic and social development.

At this stage, the Lower Secondary Checkpoint programme forms the foundation of the teaching and learning process. While the programme aligns with international standards, the subjects of the Azerbaijani National Curriculum - Azerbaijani Language, Azerbaijani Literature, Azerbaijani History, and Azerbaijani Geography - are taught in Azerbaijani. This helps strengthen students’ knowledge of national identity, language, and culture

The learning process for Grades 6–8 is completed with the Lower Secondary Checkpoint examinations. These exams assess students’ knowledge and skills based on international standards and support their transition to the next stage - Upper Secondary education.
