September 18 - National Music Day and the 140th anniversary of the birth of the great composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli were celebrated at the Heydar Aliyev Modern Educational Complex with a concert titled “In the Eternal Magic of Music.”
As part of the concert program, outstanding examples of Azerbaijani musical heritage were performed, while presentations featuring traditional musical instruments added a special atmosphere to the event. The professional stage design and high-quality performances were met with great interest and applause from the audience.
We express our sincere gratitude to People’s Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mansum Ibrahimov and his ensemble members - People’s Artist Elchin Hashimov, Honored Artist Elnur Ahmadov, and Siyavush Karimov - for their participation. We also thank Minakhanim Babayeva, Associate Professor at the Uzeyir Hajibeyli Baku Music Academy, for her opening remarks, as well as the performers Vagif Guliyev (kamancha), Aysel Shukurli (kanon), Amil Bagirov (tar), choir artistic director Naile Mammadova, school choreographer Turan Abdullayev, and the concert organizer Elnara Majidova.
The concert once again highlighted the richness of Azerbaijan’s national music and the timeless legacy of Uzeyir Hajibeyli’s creative heritage.
