Thirty-six years have passed since the tragic night of 19–20 January 1990, a dark chapter written in blood in our nation’s history.
On the occasion of the National Day of Mourning, the leadership, teachers, and students of the Modern Educational Complex Named in Honour of Heydar Aliyev visited the Martyrs’ Alley. During the visit, the memory of the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom, sovereignty, and future of our country was honoured with deep respect.
Flowers were laid at the graves of the martyrs, and their courage and selflessness were once again remembered. The tragedy of 20 January proved to the world that the will of our people is unbreakable and that the spirit of freedom can never be silenced.
Educating the younger generation in the spirit of national and moral values, understanding our history, and showing lasting respect for the memory of our martyrs remain our shared moral responsibility.
May God have mercy on all our martyrs.
