On September 15, the official opening ceremony of the new Khankendi Branch of the Modern Educational Complex Named in Honour of Heydar Aliyev took place in Khankendi, marking a new chapter for the Complex and its 25-year educational legacy.
The ceremony began with remarks by Tural Abbasov, Chief Executive Officer of the Modern Educational Complex Named in Honour of Heydar Aliyev. In his speech, he highlighted the significance of the Complex beginning its educational activities in Khankendi. He noted that establishing the new branch represents both a source of pride and an important responsibility for the entire school community.
The ceremony was attended by Elnur Aliyev, Advisor to the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Director of the Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Sabuhi Gahramanov, Deputy Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Khankendi, Aghdara and Khojaly; Shahin Bayramov, Rector of Karabakh University; Asif Jahangirov, Honoured Teacher and Professor at the Amonashvili Academy of Humane Pedagogy; as well as other official representatives.
During their remarks, the official guests congratulated the Complex community on the opening of the new branch. They highlighted the importance of expanding educational opportunities and creating a modern, high-quality learning environment in Karabakh.
The programme continued with the “Khari Bulbul” dance and musical performances, bringing elements of national culture and tradition to the opening ceremony.
Atabey Guliyev, Director of the Khankendi Branch, then spoke about the school’s goals and plans for the years ahead. He noted that the branch will focus on creating a modern, development-oriented and high-quality educational environment for its students.
As part of the ceremony, the official ribbon was cut, marking the opening of the school. Guests were then invited to tour the campus and learn more about its educational spaces and the opportunities created for students.
The ringing of the first school bell marked the beginning of the Khankendi Branch’s first academic year. It also symbolised the continuation of the Complex’s 25-year educational tradition in Khankendi.
The new branch will carry forward the educational approach and values that the Complex has developed over the past 25 years. Its learning environment will support students not only in their academic development, but also in building character, developing essential skills and preparing for the future.
With the opening of the Khankendi Branch, a new chapter begins in the 25-year educational journey of the Modern Educational Complex Named in Honour of Heydar Aliyev.
