Today, the start of the new academic year was marked at the Modern Educational Complex Named in Honour of Heydar Aliyev with an event welcoming students back to school.
The event opened with welcoming speeches by the Complex’s Chief Executive Officer, Tural Abbasov, and School Principal, Nelson Urrego, who congratulated students and shared their best wishes for the upcoming academic year.
The program continued with music and dance performances by first-grade students, followed by a joint performance by local and international teachers. The official beginning of the academic year was symbolized by the ringing of the first school bell by first graders.
The event concluded with a symbolic moment as balloons, each representing a new student joining the Complex, were released into the sky with warm wishes by alumna Leyla Asgarli, who has recently been admitted to university with outstanding academic results.
